We wrote a website that allows potential students to view classes, see which sessions have open slots, and sign up online with a credit card. Since all transactions are recorded in a single SQLServer 2005 database, the customer's sales staff also is able to enroll students at their several retail store locations. In addition, the application has a rich administrative back end which allows assignment of teachers and grades, generates data feeds to a regulatory agency and provides easy reassignment of students in the event of schedule changes. As a result of this implementation, our customer was able to triple their enrollment, without adding additional administrative staff.
